Project Description
The project team collaborated with the City of Indianapolis and the Far Eastside community in the creation of a vision for the revitalization of the chronically vacant former Oaktree Apartments 17+ acre site. The team contributed expertise in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, and redevelopment planning to provide a stakeholder-centered master plan and implementation strategy to spur community-wide economic revitalization. Carefully balancing community desires with market realities, the team worked closely with the city and the residents to develop a flexible and resilient plan that will result in a socio-economic and sustainably vibrant future for the community. Adapting to pandemic-related challenges, our team deployed a full suite of creative and innovative engagement methods to meet the needs of the client & community.
